Tilda Longstocking

Good afternoon to all my awesome blogging friends! My embossing enamel arrived in the mail today, so I could not wait to try the frantage technique. I used shabby pink and added some glass that stuff!!!!! I'm showcasing Tilda Longstocking from the new Once Upon a Time collection. She is colored with copics, as well as the Magnolia background, from an older collection. My new Magnolia dies also arrived today and you can see two of them on the card....the feathers and the lovely lace border. The small feather almost looks black on the picture, but it is actually a darker purple..same as the lace border. On the top left of the card is a Joy Crafts die. Papers are from Maja Design Spring Vintage Basics.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I appreciate your visit and comments. Big Hugs, Christina

Continuing my journal pages!

Hello one and happy you came for a visit!!! I'm continuing my journey into mixed media art and most certainly learning along the way. I thought my spray inks are permanent since I did not seem to have a problem with the green and blue I used previously, but, once I applied the medium gel, the red began to bleed, but I kind of like the effect. What do you think??????

Thank you so much for visiting my humble blog and taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it. Hugs, Christina

A Rose for a Princess

Good afternoon to all my awesome blogging friends! I'd like to share a card I made with one of the lovely Tildas from the current Once Upon a Time Collection. She is colored with copics, as is her adoring puppy who is presenting her with a rose. I actually colored the puppy a long time ago, not knowing what I will do with the image! All the elements on this card are from my stash. Papers are from Magnolia.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my humble blog. I truly appreciate it! The biggest hugs to all of you, Christina

More Journal newest obsession!

Happy Saturday everyone! This is my response to the horrible winter weather we are still subjected to!!!! I'm not a fan of tropical climates because I don't like heat and humidity, but I'm starting to come around and actually wishing for it! OMG!!!! Enough of this nasty cold weather!
My journal is becoming a new obsession....I love the freedom to create what I please without artistic restrictions. So much fun!

Once Upon A Time and Journal Pages

A huge Hello to all my blogging friends! OMG......awakened this morning to over 2" of SNOW............and more on the way for tomorrow!!!!! I tell ya, winter is not willing to release its grip this year....! It's been a while since I made a card.....I have another addiction now.....mixed media art!!! LOL

This cutie is Tilda with Corkscrews and she is colored with copics. The castle in the background is a Great Impressions stamp. I sprayed the entire image with gold glitter spray. Papers are Magnolia.

I am continuing my journal pages and this time I utilized the lovely Tim Holtz stamps I received from a dear friend. I am really enjoying this journey into mixed media art. It's messy, but so much fun! Don't really know what I'm doing yet, but I'm definitely enjoying it!

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support. I know it takes time to visit a blog and leave a comment, but I really do appreciate it so much. Big Hugs, Christina

Journal Pages......continued!

Good afternoon everyone....wishing you all a fabulous Sunday!!! I'm continuing my journey into mixed media art and proceeding with my journal pages. I've been afflicted with a lack of inspiration lately, so I've been reading instead of crafting. I'm presently reading Bill O'Reilly's book "Killing Lincoln" and I highly recommend it!

I really must get back to my card making....need lots of Christmas cards and I've really been slacking. If I don't pick up the pace, I won't get it done. I really do want to thank all my friends for visiting my blog and taking the time to leave a comment. I truly appreciate your support. Big Hugs, Christina

Easter Desserts

Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. My Internet has been down AGAIN for the last three days and suddenly reappeared this morning. Who knows?????????? This is soooooo disheartening. I got a wireless router so my son and daughter don't have to go to the coffeeshop in town to work on their laptops and I know that was the problem. I got the royal runaround when I called my Internet provider. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper.
I'd love to share the goodies I made for Easter Dinner which I missed entirely because I was so tired by that time, I could not function anymore.
